Director of Retreat Development

Location: Suriname
Type of Ministry: Camping Ministries
Type of Service: Long-Term

Development of the ministries that will be available at the camp property (eg: camping programs, retreats, seminars, local outreach, etc.). As the Lord leads we hope to have an outreach to the local area, which will lead to planting a church. This person would be key to that goal. Assist with the management of the property itself (eg: upkeep, repairs, grounds, etc.).

Requirements

In addition to the Requirements for Service, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be a BCM missionary;
• Raise funds to support their ministry with BCM;
• Have formal Bible training;
• Have experience as a Bible teacher;
• Have good organizational skills;
• Have fluency in Dutch or willingness to learn Dutch;
• Experience as camp coordinator is helpful.

Goals

Edification of the local churches here by providing a resource to help them disciple believers, train workers, and evangelize target groups (eg. in youth/children’s camps, etc.). Evangelization of the surrounding unchurched area, with a possible church plant.
