Overview
BCM International began as a Bible teaching ministry in the UK in 1947. We are fully convinced that it is the Word of God which changes lives. BCM UK’s purpose is to present the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord to individuals of all ages and to see them established in the Christian life and service within a Bible believing local church.
Our main emphasis in the UK is to help churches reach children in a Bible-centred way.
Ministry Opportunities in United Kingdom
Teacher Trainer - The successful applicant will help with the expansion of the Teacher Trainer programme, and assist a Bible College with provision of Children’s ministry training. They must be self-motivated but also able to work as part of a team. This position is located in Weston-Super-Mare, England.
Children/Youth Worker - The successful applicant will help with the expansion of work within primary schools, community centres and churches. They will also help lead and develop Bible clubs and Bible studies for teenagers. They must be self-motivated but also able to work as part of a team. This position is located in Weston-Super-Mare, England.
UK National Director - The primary responsibility of the UK National Director is to provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care for individual missionaries serving the Lord with BCM in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland (UK Missionaries). In addition he is to assist the UK Missionaries in determining before God, goals, plans and strategy for ministry. With this comes the responsibility of helping each missionary in developing their personal walk with the Lord, as well as their spiritual gifts and abilities, in order that they can be of maximum use and effectiveness in their sphere of influence and ministry. The UK Director is also responsible for promoting unity of purpose among the workers in the UK.
Children’s Ministries Coordinator (N. Ireland) - The Ministries co-ordinator should manage and co-ordinate the ministries of BCM within Northern Ireland. They should also aim to start new ministries – Bible Clubs, Bible studies etc. It is envisaged that the ministries co-ordinator will take the lead and work in these new openings with the aim of other workers, helpers and volunteers taking them over, allowing the ministries co-ordinator to ‘plant’ elsewhere.
Teaching and Training Workers - Teaching and training workers offer training seminars for children's workers through our training program In Step With the Master Teacher. Position would include training workers for children's ministries both within BCM and in other related ministries. This position is located in Clyde Valley, Scotland.
Youth Workers - This position includes ministering to 12-18 year olds and developing programs to reach young people growing up in the Bible Clubs and various BCM ministries to children in the area. Workers would develop an outreach ministry to young people who are not connected with any other Church ministry at present. This position is locating in the Kilsyth area of Scotland.
Children’s Workers - Workers will further develop existing weekly clubs in schools and churches, develop Bible Clubs within the local school system at lunch times and after school, encourage local churches in developing clubs and using BCM material, and train volunteer workers to take over these clubs so development may be moved to other areas. This position is located in the Kilsyth area of Scotland.
Summer Workers - Workers would minister to 12-18 year olds in the Glasgow area of Scotland and elsewhere in UK. Workers will also support BCM staff as they run camps and summer outreach ministries to children and teenagers, as well as develop outreach ministries to young people who are not connected with any other Church ministry at present.
