From the President’s Desk – Holy Land Tour

Greetings in Jesus' precious name!

In March of this year, I stood with others of the BCM Holy Land Tour group in the shadow of the stone cliffs of Caesarea Philippi in northern Israel. There the Jordan River bubbles out of the ground, coursing down the valley toward the Sea of Galilee. Around us were the ruins of the Temple of Pan and scattered stone remains of the city.

As I stood there, I was reminded that this was the place where Jesus Christ asked his disciples the question recorded in Matthew 16:13-20: "Who do men say that I am?" "You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God!" Peter responded, to which Christ declared, "You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you... You are Peter (which means 'rock'), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it." (NLT).

The city of Caesarea Philippi is gone. Pan's Temple has crumbled away. But the church is still here and growing! It is growing because Christ is still the Solid Rock on which we stand. The message of this Rock in the Gospel is still relevant, clear, and changes nations one life at a time.

BCM International is all about reaching children and developing the Church, His Church, by communicating this Good News to people and doing it in places where the name of Christ is still unknown.

Blessings,
Dr. Martin Windle
