From the President’s Desk – Holy Land Tour

In March of this year, I stood with others of the BCM Holy Land Tour group in the shadow of the stone cliffs of Caesarea Philippi in northern Israel. There the Jordan River bubbles out of the ground, coursing down the valley toward the Sea of Galilee. Around us were the ruins of the Temple of Pan and scattered stone remains of the city. As I stood there, I was reminded that this was the place where Jesus Christ asked his disciples the question recorded in Matthew 16:13-20: "Who do men say that I am?"

From the President’s Desk – Orissa

Orissa, and the believers there, have been in our prayers for some time. I am happy to report that this last week end, Palm Sunday week end, BCM held a Bible Convention in Orissa and also dedicated three new churches. These are the first new church to be built since the persecution began over two years ago.

The Beginning or the End?

We live in the midst of a world filled with frightened people. A decade ago everyone worried about the effects of Y2K on the “information age” and faulty computer programming. Banking was destined to fail, cars were going to grind to a stop, and we were all going to return to a stone-age existence. January 1st, 2000 dawned a new century with a day that was the same as every other day, and the year came and went with a singular lack of technological demise or end-of-the-world chaos.
Now, as we enter into this New Year, the same frightened world is once again worrying about the future.

God Specializes in Performing the Impossible

Just over a year ago, I knelt with a group of our BCM Nepal ministry leaders and missionaries in the middle of a rice paddy to dedicate land for a church building nearby to where a BCM house church was meeting.
It seemed an impossible dream.
